About Art Is Trash

Behind the name Art Is Trash stands Francisco de Pájaro, a street artist working in Barcelona – this video was published on 2017-05-12. His canvas is whatever people throw away: cardboard, bin bags, broken chairs and old mattresses become grinning characters within minutes. Most pieces last only a few hours – until the city's rubbish trucks come by. With humour and provocation he comments on consumerism, waste, politics and the art market.
